Blood Donors are very special, amazing people. Although most people are eligible to donate blood, only a small percentage actually do – which makes your willingness to volunteer all the more important. While it is not possible for us to provide a gift for every donation, RRVBC does wish to ensure that our donors are aware of the importance they provide in the community. When donors reach certain milestones they will receive a small gift thanking them for their donation. It may be a hat, a t-shirt, a cooler, or some other useful item. The items and themes change all the time to keep things fresh. It is our hope that our dedicated donors will become ambassadors for the blood center and help to encourage the community to donate blood, too. While our donors say they appreciate the gifts, the number one reason people continue to give blood is to help save lives. We just like to say, “thank you” for giving us and the patients who need you with a gift from time to time.
